Start with your household—not a savings headline
Bundling generally means purchasing more than one policy through the same insurer. Eligible customers may qualify for multi-policy discounts, but savings are not guaranteed. Your home and auto policies still have their own terms, limits and deductibles.
Our Flowery Branch team can review your current home and car insurance alongside a proposed bundle. Bring both declarations pages so the conversation starts with what you actually have, rather than a pair of prices that may represent very different protection.
How to compare a home and auto bundle
Ask for a side-by-side explanation of the combined proposal. These are the questions worth answering before you decide.
Compare the same time period
Ask how often each policy renews. Evaluate the combined cost over a consistent period, including any known payment-plan charges.
Keep important coverage visible
Put auto liability limits, vehicle deductibles, dwelling coverage and home deductibles next to the prices. A lower total is not the whole comparison.
Check discount eligibility
Ask which multi-policy discounts are included, what qualifies and what changes if one policy is later moved or canceled.
Plan the effective dates
Review renewal dates, lender requirements and the intended start date for each policy. Confirm replacement coverage before canceling existing policies.
A good time to review both policies
Buying a home while keeping your current auto policy? Adding a vehicle shortly before your homeowners renewal? Those are useful moments to ask for a household review. You do not need to guess which policy to discuss first—bring both.
Tell us if a teenager is joining the household’s drivers or a child is leaving for college. A bundle conversation can also surface changes that deserve attention within the auto policy.
If the proposed bundle does not meet your needs, the comparison is still useful. You should understand what you would gain, what would change and what the total cost represents before making a decision.

Auto + home bundles questions
Is bundling home and auto always cheaper?
No. A multi-policy discount may help, but compare the combined premium and coverage with your current arrangements. A discount percentage alone does not tell you which option fits your household.
Does a bundle put everything into one policy?
Generally, no. Home and auto remain separate contracts. Do not assume one deductible, one bill or matching renewal dates; ask how the proposed policies will work.
Can I request a bundle quote if my renewal dates are different?
Yes. Bring both dates so we can discuss the proposed timing. Before switching, confirm the new coverage and check any cancellation terms or charges on the existing policies.
Can renters or condo owners ask about bundling?
Yes. Ask whether your auto policy can qualify for an available multi-policy discount with renters or condo coverage. Eligibility and savings depend on the products and underwriting; the appropriate property policy depends on what you own or rent.
